To meet growing demand, we are expanding our construction and finishing services and are now seeking a skilled Painting Trades Worker to join our team on a full-time basis in Willetton, WA.
Position: Painting Trades Worker (Full-Time)
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Painting Trades Worker to carry out high-quality painting and finishing works across various residential and commercial projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1.As a Painting Trades Worker, your responsibilities will include (aligned with ANZSCO 332211):
2.Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, repairing cracks and holes, and washing surfaces.
3.Mixing and matching paints to achieve required colours and textures.
4.Applying paints, varnishes, stains, lacquers and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
5.Protecting surfaces not to be painted using appropriate coverings such as drop sheets, masking tape, and sealants.
6.Erecting and dismantling scaffolding and ladders as required for painting tasks.
7.Applying primers and sealers to prepare surfaces.
8.Decorative and protective finishing techniques, including texture coatings, wallpapering, and special finishes when required.
9.Cleaning equipment and work areas after job completion.
10.Ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent) desirable.
Previous experience as a Painting Trades Worker (preferred).
Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint products, and application techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
