The Role:
Join our team with the opportunity to work in one of the most unique child and family services in Victoria, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference to families’ lives every day.
Parent Place provides a safe and inclusive environment in Sturt Street and in Outreach locations across Ballarat, offering a range of early years services and activities. Families can also find out information about other early years services such as kindergarten, playgroups and support services. We work closely with both on-site and off-site partners to provide optimal assistance to children and families seeking information and support.
Alongside another Parent Place facilitator, this role is responsible for the provision of the Parent Place program across Central Ballarat and other locations.
What does my new role entail?
As a Parent Place Facilitator, you will:
- Provide a welcoming space for families with young children to thrive, providing play-based learning, social and community connection and helpful information in an inclusive and safe space across Parent Place locations.
- Build on existing partnerships and develop new partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to provide assistance for families seeking information and support.
- Work collaboratively with the Family, Youth and Children’s Services team and partner organisations to provide comprehensive, high quality, information for families with young children, including the provision of online information.
- Coordinate the provision of services at Parent Place, including volunteers.
- Develop and promote local information for families and professionals via social media, newsletters and other collateral.
