We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer who’s eager to learn and grow. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain exposure to the full payroll process, with support and guidance from experienced professionals.

As a Payroll Officer in our HR & Payroll team, you'll play an important part in supporting our weekly payroll operations and learning how to manage end-to-end payroll for a large, dynamic workforce.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with weekly payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Learning the ropes of compliance tasks, including superannuation, payroll tax, and Single Touch Payroll (STP2).
• Supporting the Payroll Manager with reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Handling payroll queries from staff and stakeholders, with support from your team.

Who We're Looking For:

You might be early in your payroll career, or have experience in a payroll support or assistant role — either way, you're keen to build your skills and learn how to run payroll from start to finish.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• 1–2 years of experience in payroll or accounts/HR administration.
• A willingness to learn new systems – experience with iChris or similar is a bonus!
• Basic Excel skills including VLOOK UP and PIVOT (and a desire to build advanced ones).
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-focused attitude.
• An interest in payroll compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
