This is a unique and rare opportunity for anyone who is agile and looking to take the next step in their career. We are looking for resilient, safety conscious, confident and motivated individuals to join and support our local communities and ensure our letters and parcels are delivered on time.
This is a permanent relief position, meaning you will regularly rotate around delivery rounds within the facility, covering short-term and long-term leave across the Inner West, Inner City, CBD, and Eastern Suburbs. This position would suit individuals who love variety, and aren't afraid of change. Due to the nature of this position, a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle is required.
You'll be
- Starting your day early in the morning, sorting mail and small parcels with your teammates at the facility.
- Loading your backpack or trolley with your items for the day and deliver from either the delivery centre or drive to an outstation or location.
- Responsible to cover and deliver to multiple rounds where no two days are alike!
- Delivering outdoors in all types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses.
- Paired up with our experienced coaches, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.
About you
- You hold a full or probationary car licence.
- Experience and/or knowledge working within the courier/delivery industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- You're resilient and able to adapt to high volume and pressure.
- You're open to change, variety, and willing to support the facility by covering leave and vacant rounds
- You're flexible with working additional hours if required.
- You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.
