About the Role:
Casual Position – Immediate Start
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Carer to join our supportive team in Moonta SA. This community based role involves assisting clients with showering, personal care, and daily living support in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Remove clients’ pressure stockings as required
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Offer emotional and social support, helping clients and their families navigate challenging times
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
- Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of clients, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals
- Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare providers, and families to provide tailored care to each client
- Implement palliative care approaches, focusing on pain management, comfort, and emotional support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
- Experience working in aged care environments
- Understanding of palliative care principles and practices
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
Desirable:
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
