The Heart Foundation is seeking a Philanthropy Specialist to join their team in Subiaco. As Australia's leading heart health charity, the Heart Foundation is dedicated to reducing the impact of heart disease through research, prevention, and support. This full-time, permanent role is responsible for growing and managing high-value donor relationships across Western Australia. Reporting to the WA General Manager, you'll lead the state's major gifts and trust/foundation portfolio, collaborating with local and national teams to deliver measurable impact.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a portfolio of major donors, trusts, and foundations
- Developing a WA-specific philanthropy strategy and business plan
- Re-engaging and deepening relationships with current and lapsed donors
- Writing compelling cases for support and tailored funding proposals
- Identifying new prospects and creating a pipeline of long-term supporters
- Hosting donor engagement and stewardship events across WA
- Collaborating with the national philanthropy team to align strategy and processes
- Working with internal teams to ensure proposals reflect key program priorities
- Providing in-person support and donor care to WA-based philanthropists
- Forecasting income and reporting against agreed KPIs
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience managing major donor or high-value client relationships
- Confidence securing large philanthropic gifts (e.g. $50,000+)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse donor base
- Excellent communication and proposal writing skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a strategic mindset
- Experience working with CRM or fundraising databases (e.g. Raiser's Edge)
- An understanding of the donor journey and moves management
- Knowledge of Australia's philanthropic landscape, trusts, and foundations
- Willingness to attend events and meetings outside regular hours when required
- Full working rights in Australia
