About the role
The Graduate School of Medicine is seeking an experienced administration professional to coordinate medical student placement activities in the Illawarra region. You will provide essential support to students and preceptors for clinical placements within hospitals and community health facilities in the region across all four phases of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. You will also assist with timetabling and coordination of a range of student learning, teaching and assessment activities. This is a dynamic position that plays a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of clinical placements in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
About you
We’re seeking a detail orientated candidate with strong time management and organisational skills, capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will bring solid administrative experience and be a confident user of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proactive, flexible approach and sound judgement. You’ll work well both independently and as part of a team with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures effectively. Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information is also essential.
Experience working with medical professionals or in a healthcare or tertiary education setting, as well as knowledge of the higher education sector will be highly regarded.
