About Us

We are a group of three small animal general practice clinics in South-East Queensland located in Nundah, New Farm and Cleveland. Across our group we have a vibrant and diverse team of vets, veterinary nurses, veterinary technicians, and additional support staff. Our service is client centred – we love the people and the pets and work towards best outcomes for all. We value personal and practice development, and this is supported in the clinic with training, mentorship, and continual advances in clinic equipment and practices.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated full-time Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in veterinary practice management, exceptional leadership skills, a genuine passion for animal care and team development. This position will be predominantly based at our Cleveland Veterinary Clinic but may require assisting across our 2 other clinics – Nundah Village and Central New Farm. It will see you working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and patients. The role will be a fixed-term maternity leave contract starting from 11th August 2025 until 29th May 2026, with potential opportunities for ongoing permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Veterinarian to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic, optimising both workflow and patient care.
  • Mentor and develop veterinary nurses, providing guidance and support to help them advance in their careers.
  • Lead and supervise clinic staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment.
  • Assist the Lead Vet in overseeing financial management.
  • Coordinate workforce management with the Lead Vet.
  • Maintain key relationships with partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and clean clinic environment.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and effective communication.
  • Work closely with veterinarians to enhance patient care and contribute to continuous service improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in veterinary practice management or a similar managerial role within a clinical environment.
  • Certificate IV in Vet Nursing will be highly regarded but not mandatory.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively address and resolve issues that arise within the clinic.
  • Availability to work Monday through to Friday.

What We Offer:

  • Amazing location and practice facilities.
  • Competitive remuneration, depending on experience.
  • A fascinating, busy role within a friendly and supportive team environment.
  • Recognition as a Great Place to Work – Certified.
  • Alongside paid Parental Leave we offer Paid Purrental Leave – because we love our fur babies.
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing are a priority, and we understand that work life balance is vital. We are recognised as a ‘Skilled Mental Health First Aid®’ workplace along with having access to well-being support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Ongoing professional development through access to the VC Learning Academy (online learning portal).
  • Novated vehicle leasing options.
