Print Finisher

Position Title: Print Machinist/Finisher

Reporting to

Production Manager

Purpose of the Position

Produce consistent quality print products in accordance with industry and company standards and provide assistance to the finishing section

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of Certificate 3 Print Machinist or equivalent qualification
• Ability to operate and maintain a range of specialist printing and finishing equipment
• Understanding of, and ability to implement quality control on all jobs
• Ability to interpret and implement job specifications
• Ability to work effectively as a part of a team, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach under times of pressure
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision

Preferred Criteria

• Significant experience in Print Embellishment (die cutting, foils etc) and with Heidelberg Printing Machines

Tasks and Responsibilities

For the Job

• Complete high quality printing and finishing jobs according to specifications given in job dockets
• Operate a range of printing and finishing equipment, including GTO (single colour, perforating, numbering etc), cylinder and platen machine (die cutting, embossing, foil, scoring etc)
• Operate duplo-collator, guillotine
• Undertake minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with Maintenance schedules, manuals and company requirements
• Record time required for each job in print IQ
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Production Manager, as required.
• Enhance Colemans Printing’s professional image and reputation in the general marketplace and community
• Undertake other duties as directed by senior staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Darwin, NT 0800: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Print Finisher: 3 years (Required)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Preferred)
