The Role - Make a Meaningful Impact in Purpose-Led Investing
Join a high-performing Investments team at a values-driven superannuation fund committed to delivering long-term outcomes for members. This permanent, full-time role will support the Head of Private Equity to manage and grow a dynamic portfolio spanning venture capital, growth equity, infrastructure, technology, unlisted debt, and more.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially focused individual to step into a diverse role where your analytical insights, problem-solving skills, and eye for detail will directly contribute to our investment strategy and member outcomes by proactively contributing to research efforts and analysis of Private Equity data. You’ll apply your technical expertise to support investment decisions, develop performance reports, and help execute deals across a broad and evolving private markets portfolio - all within a flexible, balanced work environment that supports wellbeing and offers an alternative to the long hours typically associated with Private Equity.
Key focus areas include:
Research, collate and provide analysis on the Fund’s existing Private Equity data.
Assist in the analysis of new private equity investment opportunities.
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and presentation of investment performance reports and statistics.
Assist the Head of Private Equity in the execution of investments.
Maintain strong and effective relationships with the Fund’s investment managers, asset consultant and other key stakeholders to support growth.
You have
Qualifications at an appropriate level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Bachelor’s degree in Applied Finance, economics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics etc).
Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
A member-first mindset and a drive to support long-term, sustainable outcomes.
What Sets You Apart
Experience in the area of Private Equity and/or finance.
Understanding and high-level knowledge of PE investment structures and performance attributes across Venture capital, growth equity and buyouts.
Fund accounting principles, risk management, and compliance—especially within the superannuation or asset management industry.
A genuine interest in superannuation and contributing to a purpose-led organisation.
