Northern Trust is looking for a Client Solutions Consultant within the technology, servicing and solutions group. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate Northern Trust’s technology/systems to current and prospective clients, including asset servicing, asset management clients, and other key stakeholders.
In addition, the candidate will train clients and internal partners on how to utilise a variety of in house systems, develop and project manage new solutions for clients and serve as a liaison between the Change, Client service and Development teams.
About the role:
- Consults with institutional trust and custody clients and prospects to analyze and determine digital product implementation needs as they relate to the institutional trust and custody products. E.g. custom reporting or tailored digital solutions.
- Act as the primary contact for assigned client relationships and establish high-touch client service through proactive interaction
- Manage the release of new products or product updates and system changes to assigned relationships and provide feedback to Product teams where necessary to aid product development
- Work with clients to understand any gaps in technology/reporting, initiate project development, communicate and monitor implementation plan to ensure that the product/report enhancements meet client expectations
- Serve as the liaison between the client, change management and the development teams.
- Works with clients and/or partners to devise solutions using technology. This may include custom reporting or system development.
- Works with relationship manager and client to gain understanding of client needs and implements accordingly.
- Coordinates and participates in training presentations on the various Northern Trust digital products with clients.
- Keeps abreast of new and existing bank digital and data products and services in order to meet the needs and experience of new and existing clients.
- Some travel required to visit clients/prospects, occasionally on short notice.
Experience
- 3-5 year’s experience in master trust/custody or digital products and or client servicing.
- Knowledge of institutional trust/custody products and services, usually acquired through related work experience, is required to manage client requirements and expectations of digital products and services. Knowledge of custodian processing and systems capabilities, usually acquired through experience or formal training, is required to coordinate digital product implementation and enhancement.
- Ability to utilize PC applications to provide alternative solutions.
- Good presentations skills
- Organizational, analytical, negotiation and project management skills are required to direct implementation activities, prioritize tasks, and to lead and work on a team.
- The ability to manage client expectations, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with clients on a day to day basis.
