We are seeking an experienced Product Manager on a fixed term 12-month contract to join our Bunnings Digital team.
About the Role:
Product Managers in the Bunnings Digital team work cross functionally across the entire business to determine and drive the practices that lead to valuable products. It is the core responsibility of the Product Manager to possess knowledge of the technology and what is possible to inform possible solutions, alongside having deep customer knowledge to make informed decisions.
Led by the Senior Manager Product this role is responsible for inspiring a team of engineers, designers and analysts on the strategic journey of their product stream, that holds a true passion for product management as a craft, the customer and building better products.
What's involved:
- Evolve existing strategy by analysing and synthesising information around market context, competitive trends and the required re-positioning of Bunnings to grow
- Demonstrate strong financial understanding and awareness, especially how decisions are likely to impact the broader market and commercial outcome
- Identify and validate new product opportunities
- Define and manage delivery of new features working closely with Product designers, Delivery Lead and the agile delivery team
- Deliver initiatives that require managing complex cross-functional and cross-business stakeholder relationships
- Identify ways to leverage platform features to grow audience and conversion
- Drive go-to-market activities for product launches
- Maximise the product performance to drive audience growth, deepen engagement and improve user satisfaction
- Develop and maintain performance reports and dashboards
- Establish business and marketing objectives for product including product adoption, performance, customer and consumer satisfaction Advocate for and clearly communicate customer needs across the group, making a positive impact within the team.
Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will be customer focussed with proven experience in an agile delivery and design team; the role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills therefore when partnering with senior leaders you’re able to adapt your communication style and presentation skills to your audience.
You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic and able to dissect and understand complex customer and technical problems whilst translating data analysis and insights to better understand exactly what customer behaviour can drive organisational results.
You’ll need:
- Tertiary Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Design or Computer Science
- Digital background in a similar environment required
- Proven experience in product management or equivalent
- Product strategy, roadmap definition and execution
- Knowledge of agile delivery best practice ie. Behaviour driven development, discovery to delivery, facilitation
- Experience in using industry data capture and analysis to inform decision making
- Experience in leading delivery and design teams towards a shared vision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timeframes.
