Working within IFS Product Management Section - Delivery and Client, the Product Manager (Level 4, Expert) will be responsible for identifying and understanding both the internal and external business needs, proposing effective solutions, and managing their exaction end-to-end.
A key focus will be placed on the management and migration of New Client relationships, with emphasis on operational and technical enhancements tailored to client requirements.
The individual will have in depth knowledge and understanding of the Australian market, its nuances, unique regulatory landscape and client requirements / behaviours. This includes deep knowledge of the Wealth Platforms, Wealth Management and Institutional / GC domains.
Additionally, this role will play a critical role in supporting clients operating on legacy technology, guiding them through the transition to Clearstream infrastructure. Strong leadership skills are essential, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
The role will be an important conduit for Product between The Australian business and the Group
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Participate to the maintenance of the multi-year product strategy plan, including product roadmap and P&L.
- Work directly with Customers to propose and execute solutions to enhance their IFS experience.
- Manage projects focused on Customer enhancement delivery and path to migration.
- Review escalation as it relates to Product issues and work bilaterally within the Product group to resolve the customers.
- Work with Sales, Relationship management and Customers to identify, assess, propose, and execute potential revenue generating opportunities.
- Work with all departments to establish and maintain adequate legal and competitive watch infrastructure.
- Work with operations and client service areas to Identify, assess, propose and execute operational process improvements and revenue generating opportunities.
- Analyse and determine appropriate technical and non-technical solutions to both internal and external customers’ needs
- Work with central IT to facilitate technical product deliverables in an effective manner
- Support maintenance of various products profitability and metrics analysis
- Produce regular and ad-hoc management reporting
- Lead client migration efforts from legacy platforms to Clearstream technology, ensuring minimal disruption and high client satisfaction.
- Provide strategic leadership internally across cross-functional teams to drive alignment and execution of product and migration initiatives.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients across all levels, including executive stakeholders, to guide them through operational and technical transitions.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the Australian market, including wealth platforms and institutional client needs, to tailor product delivery and migration strategies.
- Champion client readiness initiatives, helping clients overcome internal challenges and accelerate their transition to modern infrastructure.
Qualifications / Required Skill
- University degree in business, applied economics or comparable education
- Minimum 10+ years experience in the Investment Fund field, notably in the Australian market.
- Hands on leader who walks the talk in execution and leads by example
- Excellent client relationship skills with strong presentation experience
- A natural drive to take the initiative to “get things done”
- Flexible team player in an international environment
- Excellent analytical skills, numeracy literate and self-organized
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence internal stakeholders across departments.
- Strong leadership presence when engaging with clients at all levels, including senior executives.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex client migrations and transitions from legacy systems.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance client needs, operational constraints, and long-term product goals.
