Key responsibilities include managing the flow of demand from the local business, ownership and prioritisation of the data services backlog, execution of the local data management plan, and ensuring of input data quality, governance, security, and accessibility. This role is instrumental in enabling business value through operational efficiency, enhanced data capabilities, and effective vendor management to ensure reporting quality.

- Local Data Service Delivery: Define and manage the data services backlog to align with local business needs and global priorities.
- Data Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the local data demand, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and business enablement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the data function at executive level, providing strategic insights to senior stakeholders and business partners.
- Vendor Management: Drive performance from key service providers (e.g., Accenture, AZT) through role clarity, KPI tracking, and collaborative partnerships.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee delivery of data-related operational and project services under the Polaris CS scope, ensuring service quality and business impact
- As a member of the global CTO office, contribute to the ownership, development and support of data reporting in Australia and New Zealand.Develop and implement the local data demand, validating demand and aligning with the organization's overall IT and business goals, as well aligning with the global data and analytics strategy. Support the standard readiness process to support target platform solutions and global rollout plans.In conjunction with the local C level and relevant managers, operationalise the standard delivery processes, aligning to the standard global processes.Cultivate the values of Allianz and adapt to the 2030 vision
- Build and cultivate a high-performing service from our vendors in AZT and Accenture.Provide role clarity and set clear performance expectations and goals for the delivery of services as per the contract between AZP – AZT and AZP – Accenture.Facilitates cooperation and positive working relationships between vendors and AZPMeasure and evaluate progress against service delivery goals, through KPIs and timely and effective feedbackSupport open and constructive communication
- Ensures the specification of business requirements to a level that enables effective delivery of agreed changes in alignment with the Business& IT strategy. Ensure acceptance criteria and delivable expecations are understood and documented in Order forms, manage clarifications between vendor and business requester
- Make effective and timely decisions within a complex and nuanced environment, using data and feedback to underpin decision-making.Provide day-to-day leadership to vendor and AZP business to support with troubleshooting challenging areas.Guide each vendor team under the service delivery umbrella to understand their role in relation to other areas and in relation to AZP’s values and strategic vision for 2030.
- Encourage and support the use of effectiveness in the delivery of service from AZT and Accenture through reviewing SLA and service delivery from our clientsLead the process for reviewing and updating service delivery policies and procedures in line with compliance and legislative requirements with AZP and AAL.'
- Working with Accenture and Allianz Technology to deliver Run and Project services under the Polaris CS Scope.Lead the preparation and delivery of effective service delivery reports including actionable insights to present to the Executive, CEO and/or the Board as required.Initiate and manage service delivery projects as needed.
- Responsible for the first level triage, analysis, requirements validation and portfolio aligment of change initiatives for AU-NZ, steering the change project portfolio and backlog of work with rigour towards approved strategy.
- Ideally someone who has strong experience working within a CTO office
