The Opportunity
BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Production Manager to join the Operations team based in Novar Gardens SA. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.
In this exciting and brand-new role, you will bring your knowledge of Manufacturing Excellence and extensive leadership and change management experience to collaborate with the operations team and drive continuous improvement of the production of our products and operational systems. This opportunity is a key frontline leadership position that supports the supervisors, operations coordinators and the overall site, ensuring the success of planned delivery schedules are on-time meeting our customer expectations.
What Will You Do?
In this leadership position, you will:
- optimise the efficiency, effectiveness and cost associated with the daily operations
- drive production efficiency via data established KPIs, coaching and upskilling of workgroup
- ensure process, standards and quality focus is maintained and developed. Assist with solution focus improvements.
- work collaboratively with the leadership team as well as sales, maintenance and transport teams.
- be innovative, agile and have a proactive approach to drive business innovation
- provide support to the scheduling team and manage conflicting priorities and customer orders ensuring on-time delivery
