Choices Food Group is a leading manufacturer in Gluten-Free baking, known for our quality freeze-to-thaw innovation and product excellence. Our SQF Certified facility produces a wide range of savoury & sweet bakery products for food service and retail customers nationwide. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production shifts to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Hands-on process, including staff supervision, equipment operation, and workflow optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards, maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and safety.
- Monitor production efficiency, improving processes, and minimising downtime and waste.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and NPD Teams on current and future products.
- Participate in scheduling, inventory management, and other operational planning tasks.
- Oversee the preventative maintenance program to minimise downtime and breakdowns
What we want:
- Proven experience in a production lead role within commercial food production, preferably in the bakery industry or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of SQF standards or equivalent food safety programs.
- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management systems is a plus.
