About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Leader to join our Human Services and Education team. In this role, you will provide high-level educational leadership, coordinate program delivery, and ensure quality assurance across the Community, CYFI and Mental Health training areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teaching staff across the department
  • Coordinate course delivery, timetables, and teaching rosters
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and performance reviews of staff
  • Ensure alignment with Training & Assessment Strategies (TAS)
  • Drive curriculum innovation and industry engagement
  • Monitor student progression and implement early intervention strategies
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance and audit requirements
  • Promote programs through community engagement and events
  • Manage budgets and ensure financial sustainability of programs

Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree relevant to Community Services, Mental Health, or related fields
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
  • AQF 5/6 qualification with adult learning methodology and practicum
  • Minimum 5 years’ industry experience
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Proven ability to design and evaluate innovative teaching materials
  • Sound knowledge of vocational education and training sector
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counselling skills
  • Understanding of compliance, OH&S, and continuous improvement practices
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (desirable)

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • A National Police Check
