Create your best future and join Westpac as a Program Scheduler.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated program schedule that consolidates planning data across multiple workstreams. It supports core functions such as planning, tracking, and delivery reporting by providing accurate insights into delays, dependencies, and critical path issues. The role works closely with project managers to support scenario analysis, schedule impact assessments, and strategic planning, while also contributing to governance cycles, status reporting, and the management of risks, interdependencies, and milestones across the program.

As a dedicated Program Scheduler, you will integrate over 10 work package projects into a single, dynamic roadmap maintaining integrity, resilience, and real-time visibility across a program with thousands of schedule lines.

What do I need?

Essential skills:

  • Lead engagement with General Managers, senior leaders, Product Directors, and Agile Coaches to build a dynamic integrated program schedule across more than 39 core merged Technical Service Providers.
  • Provide leadership to the Program Scheduling Team, setting priorities, promoting best practices, and coaching team members to build capability and confidence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Project, with proven experience integrating and managing multiple schedules within large, complex programs.
  • Ability to collaborate with project managers, program leads, and technical teams to synthesise multiple plans—across various formats and tools—into a harmonised, integrated program schedule.
  • Capacity to advise executives instantly on schedule dependencies and quantify program delays without requiring extensive rework.
  • Influence stakeholders across 39+ Technical Service Providers to standardise scheduling processes, tools, and governance frameworks that support the creation of a dynamic, integrated program plan.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Planview, or equivalent.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience conducting what-if analyses and assessing the impact of schedule changes due to scope shifts, risks, or delays.
  • Ability to support program governance by preparing high-level schedule reports, variance analysis, and executive-ready status updates.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and the ability to align Agile delivery with traditional scheduling models.
  • Experience using Power BI, advanced Excel, or Tableau for visual schedule reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis, dependency mapping, and milestone tracking to identify and manage schedule risks effectively.
