Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer, and ChemTreat. About Role
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Project Delivery Specialist is responsible for supporting Project business for Hach Pacific and delivering won Projects according to the agreed project contract terms across Australia and New Zealand. This position will work in collaboration with and in support of existing project Sales, ADM and project teams to deliver the projects. This is a high impact position, and seasoned technical process and applications experience plus some commercial experience is critical to the successful execution of Hach’s corporate strategy.
What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)
Solutions for Customers
Collaborating with internal departmental leaders, external customers (EPC/Consultants) and Apps Team on existing and prospective projects to provide project delivery customer experience.
Working closely with Project BDM and Internal Support Engineer to understand each project and its delivery requirements. Manages all aspects of diverse projects that require technical knowledge and expertise.Collaborating with Customer Service to ensure all items are process according to project order specifications (PO).
Assisting Purchasing department to ensure correct items are ordered to the factory
Working with Logistics team to ensure all products for each project have the updated delivery details.
Working with the Factory to obtain latest delivery details of each project and communicating to Customer Service, Logistic Team and Customers.
Leading external panel builders to ensure all panels are designed and built within the timeframe as specified by the project contract terms
Track & develop a project delivery schedule/plan for each project and communicating it to the customers so they’re align with what we’re delivering.
Have a regular cadence meeting with all stake holders that are involve in delivery each project.
This role will also undertake other duties, as may be assigned from time to time.
COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE:
Responsible for revenue growth of project business as of project team.
Support financial objectives set forth by senior management through collaboration with multiple teams in the Hach organization by representing the best interest of Sales, owning awareness of actual vs. budgeted performance, implementing corrective measures as appropriate, and reporting accomplishment and variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Uses project management tools including VES ( IT/Engineering/Scientific). Leads, coordinates, and/or facilitates cross-functional technical teams with direct and dotted line reporting to achieve project goals in support of the company’s goals and annual operating plan
What We Are Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Mech Eng, Chem Eng, Process Eng preferred.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project management and execution of projects.
Formal Project delivery/execution training, with experience is favorable.
Ability to travel up to 20% of time within ANZ if necessary.
Strong critical thinking skills; the ability to synthesize a collection of facts into logical and actionable conclusions.
