Are you ready to unleash your inner rockstar? Northern Star is seeking a Project Geologist - Growth to join our team of Geological Rockstars in the heart of the Kalgoorlie Gold Field. As a Project Geologist, you'll use your analytical and technical expertise to unlock the secrets of geological data, identify key features, and drive the success of our cutting-edge geology projects. This is a family-friendly residential 8/6 (12-hour days) roster based at our Kanowna Belle Operations.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Selecting targets and planning drill holes to reveal the geological secrets of the Kalgoorlie Gold Field in both surface and underground settings.
- Creating detailed wireframes of geology and mineralisation to guide our resource development efforts.
- Mentoring and training fellow geologists, passing on your passion and expertise to the next generation of Geological Rockstars.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Rock-solid foundation: Possess a fundamental understanding of geology and its processes, with a strong grasp on rock types and mineralogy.
- Data detective: Ability to analyse and interpret geological data effectively using advanced software and tools to unlock the secrets hidden beneath the surface.
- Collaborative communicator: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles and collaborate with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
