Quality Control Analyst

Bank of Queensland

Queensland
Full time

About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Financial Crime Operations team, with a focus on Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD).

This role plays a key part in helping us mitigate financial crime risks by ensuring our policies, procedures and standards are being applied correctly across operational activity.

You’ll be part of the team responsible for ongoing monitoring of how our people fulfil their Financial Crime obligations—assessing AML and ECDD functions and reporting any compliance gaps.

As an Analyst, you’ll be the one making sure that everything meets the mark before it goes out the door. You’ll work closely with the QC Manager and Senior Analyst to uphold our QC standards across a range of business groups, and you’ll contribute to collaboration sessions, forums and QC-Ops working groups that help shape how we do things.

You’ll be engaging with stakeholders across ECDD Operations, AML Operations, Fraud Investigations, Financial Crime Analytics & Systems, FCC, Risk & Assurance, and KYC Operations—so relationship-building and clear communication will be key.

About you

You – our ideal candidate is someone who brings a strong understanding of QC or Financial Crime Operations, with experience in a similar role under your belt. You know your way around ECDD work types and have a solid grasp of AML investigations and reporting.

Experience in in AML/CTF compliance, enhanced customer due diligence and customer exits is a must.
Experience in sanctions screening, TTRs, IFTIs, and fraud investigations is desirable but not necessary.

You’re confident identifying gaps in processes, writing detailed assessments for high-risk cases, and providing independent advice to senior leaders. You’ve got a knack for translating complex information into clear, actionable insights, and you’re comfortable coaching others on QC standards. You’re also familiar with the responsibilities of key regulators and understand the importance of getting things right the first time.

But beyond the technical skills, we’re looking for someone who fits in culturally. Someone who’s curious, collaborative, and genuinely cares about doing meaningful work, thriving in a team that values open communication, continuous improvement, and a shared commitment to keeping our customers and business safe.

If you’re someone who enjoys working across different teams, & ready to make a difference - we’d love to hear from you.
