An opportunity has become available for a Road Tester/Quality Controller in our Ford Sunshine workshop in Ashmore. The position entails carrying out quality control inspections and road tests on all Ford vehicles going through the workshop. The applicant will need a keen eye for detail, have a strong customer focus, be able to work in a team environment liaising with Service Advisors, Foreman and Technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Complete final quality control checks on vehicles to make sure the vehicles released meet and exceed manufacturers requirements
- To fulfil waiting customer requirements and road test
- To assist the Workshop Controller in the daily functioning of the workshop
- Carrying out checks on used vehicles coming through the workshop
- Final check of job cards coming through the workshop before handing over to Service Advisors
What we are looking for:
- Qualified technician or Senior technician looking for an alternative position within a Service Department
- Current QLD manual driver license
- Previous experience performing road tests and quality control functions are a benefit but not essential
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong communicator with ability to provide guidance and support to technical team via demonstrated knowledge and capability
