Raging Water Sydney - Events F&B Team Member
About the role:
The Events Food & Beverage (F&B) Team Member plays a key role in delivering exceptional service and smooth operations during events. Whether it’s birthday parties, school days, group functions, or after-hours events, this role ensures guests receive high-quality food, drinks, and service in a fun, fast-paced, and safe environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:

- Event Coordination: Act as the main food and beverage contact for event bookings, handling any food orders, inquiries and complaints.
- Assist with preparation, setup, and pack-down of event-specific F&B areas including buffet catering stations, BBQs and drink areas.
- Serve food and beverages to event guests with efficiency, friendliness, and accuracy
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures are always followed
- Assist with party and group catering, including taking orders, preparing pre-packed meals, birthday platters and drinks packages
- Keep all event F&B areas clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the even
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide suggestions on ways the sale of food and beverages during larger scale events can be enhanced.
- Provide dietary/allergy assistance and communicate clearly with guests and supervisors
- Assist with crowd flow and queuing in high-volume areas
- Work closely with the Events and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or stock shortages immediately
- Communication: Maintain open communication channels between clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure everyone is well-informed and aligned throughout the event planning process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, food requirements and changes to their bookings.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to upsell additional products and services, enhancing customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth.
You may be required to assist in other areas of the park as needed and are expected to support wider operations when requested.

- Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
- Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
- Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
- Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.

Experience:
- Previous experience in food & beverage handling
- Experience in point-of-sale systems (preferred but not necessary)
- Utilising equipment such as two-way radio

Pay Conditions:
This is a casual position from October to April, with the need to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays during the season.
Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season 15 December 2025 to 1 February 2026.
The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award.
Events Team Leader aged 20 years or older are paid at a Grade 5 hourly rate of $29 per hour plus 25% casual loading ($36.25 per hour includes casual loading).
Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under.
Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.
