In this role, you'll:
Joining the Fleet Maintenance division of Sydney Trains, you will be involved in inspecting, servicing, overhauling and repairing mechanical/pneumatic systems, equipment and components on Electrical fleet passenger trains to contribute to the reliability and availability levels for the passenger fleet.
You will be based at the Mortdale Maintenance Centre on Permanent full-time contract.
This is a 24/7 rotating shift work position, 9.5-hour roster that requires you to work on weekends and nights with additional penalty rates.
About you
- Qualified Fitter/Mechanical trade
- Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter, conducting repairs, periodic maintenance and high level fault finding.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, services, maintenance, modifications, upgrades, component changes and repairs to systems and equip
- You can interpret maintenance instructions and technical drawings
- You have the ability to operate within a teamwork situation and can interact with other trades/disciplines within the overall context of a maintenance environment.
