WD Hunt & Associates are a boutique firm located in Parramatta CBD.
We predominantly practice in personal injury matters which include, workers compensation, motor vehicle accident, public liability, and medical negligence claims. We occasionally conduct criminal law matters and historical sexual assault claims.
We are looking for a receptionist/administrative assistant to assist the Principal and Senior Associate Solicitor with practice management in the office.
You will be assisting solicitors by performing the following duties: filing, telephone contact, taking new client enquiries, receiving and send emails and filing same within client files, sending simple letters to clients, printing, arranging couriers, file management, diarising, and checking online court portal and Personal Injury portal.
The successful candidate will gain knowledge of how various matters interrelate on a statutory level, file management, both physical and electronic, the preparation of counsel's brief, and exposure to the running of a boutique business. You will also have invaluable training from the solicitors in the office, including the Principal Solicitor who is an Accredited Specialist with about 32 years of experience in the area.
The ideal candidate ought to have the following:
- High proficiency in English
- Excellent typing skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Competent research skills
- Good proficiency with technology (Microsoft 365 Suite, Dropbox, and AVL)
- Good rapport-building and social skills
- Enthusiasm to learn and be mentored
- Ability to work in person in the office, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm each day.
