Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Casual Rehabilitation Consultant operating in an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessor capacity with a professional background in Occupational Therapy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector to provide overflow assessment support to our NSW branches and predominantly across the Sydney metro region. You will provided expert rehabilitation assessment services, in particular specialised ADL service provision, while enjoying the freedom to manage your workload and schedule.
Your duties will include:
- Completing ADL assessments;
- Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to provide guidance, recommendations and equipment / service provision;
- Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded schemes;
- Providing high quality assessment reports.
As part of Activities of Daily Living Assessments, you will:
- Assess an individual's Personal, Domestic, and Community ADL's, and identify recommendations for services, support, and/or assistive equipment;
- Complete equipment trials in person with your clients, to ensure this recommendation is safe and appropriate for the Injured Worker, as well as prompting independence in their day-to-day life;
- Provide education to our clients and Injured Workers to compliment recommendations for support, and/or assistive equipment.
Qualifications
You'll be a driven and energetic professional with the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and full registered with AHPRA;
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Strong communication and rapport building skills;
- Compassion, kindness and empathetic approach;
- Well developed time management skills;
- A current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance essential
