The Opportunity
The Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases (WCVID) is a leading research centre focused on improving the health and wellbeing of children and families through world-class infectious disease research. The WCVID is one of the largest research centres within The Kids Research Institute Australia.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Undergraduate or Postgraduate Coursework university student studying at the University of Western Australia to join our Cadetship Program. This cadetship will consist of 4x rotations across various teams within the WCVID to gain skills, experience and confidence in a real-world research environment.
Whether you're studying health, science, community development, or another related field, this program offers a supportive and culturally safe space to explore what a career in research could look like for you.
About You
We are looking for students who are eager to learn and apply new knowledge, and who will be great team-players.
You will be willing to commit to a 1-year Cadetship Program located within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands. You will work 1 full day (7.5 hours) a week during this program.
