About the Role:
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Senior Retail Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently open the store in the morning and carry out regular shop floor duties. You’ll be a key part of the day-to-day operation, helping ensure the store is clean, stocked, and ready for trade each day.
Key Responsibilities:
Open the store in the morning, including unlocking, disarming alarms, and preparing registers
Serve customers and operate the register efficiently and accurately
Restock shelves and ensure products are faced and well presented
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across the shop floor
Assist customers with queries and product locations
Follow basic store procedures and communicate with the manager as needed
Support the team by staying on top of daily retail tasks and priorities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail or supermarket environment
- Must be reliable and punctual, especially for early morning starts
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Able to work weekends and public holidays if required
- Physically fit and able to lift stock and move around the store during shifts
