If you have a proven track record in a fast paced retail, supermarket or banking environment, you’re available to commit to a minimum of working 25 hours each week and you’re looking for your next move, we have an opportunity for you!
Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.
Role Details:
- Offering an above industry average Pay Rate $31.93 / hour + 12% Superannuation
- + District allowance from $7140 annually (paid fortnightly) + Up to 50% Air Conditioning subsidy + Extra 7 days of paid leave per year = 5 weeks holidays each year
- Extensive, supportive (paid) training, 12 weeks, 5 hours / day on a rotating roster, Monday - Friday, between 8:45 AM - 5:06 PM
- Extra hours are available to support a great local team when they are on leave

You'll be:
- Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers
- Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)
- Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
- Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs
- Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
- Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
About youYou're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment. You're ready to put the customer at the centre of everything you do to help make a difference in the community. You'll also need to:
- Have experience in a fast paced retail or banking environment
- Be competent with POS’s and cash handling
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail / parcels regularly and stand for your shift
