OUR STORY

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

THE ROLE

RGH00 – Ranger Group Facilitator – Anmatyerr (Ti Tree)

CL 6 (Starting $87,077 progressing to $100,027)

ONGOING CONTRACT


Use your knowledge of team building, conservation and community development to supervise and support an Aboriginal ranger group within the CLC Ranger Program to meet the needs of the community and program funding body. Work with Aboriginal rangers, traditional owners, CLC staff, the wider community, and other stakeholders in implementing a diverse program of community-led on-ground natural and cultural resource management activities. Work with other CLC staff to facilitate rangers' personal and professional development.


BENEFITS

  • Ongoing district allowance (circa $3,760 for an individual or $6,900 with dependents);

  • Subsidised, fully furnished accommodation for the first four months.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in a
ccordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
