Job Description
Moranbah North Mine currently has an opportunity for a professional and energetic Administrator to join the Safety Department. Based in Moranbah, QLD.
Reporting to the Safety and Health Manager, you will assist in the maintenance of the site Safety and Health Management system (SHMS) to ensure compliance is in line with legislative and Anglo American Steelmaking Coal requirements you will be required to provide internal client services to key stakeholders coupled with core safety support to drive the team’s key performance indicators.
Key responsibilities;
- Manage and maintain controlled health and safety documents, registers, and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Oversee document control processes, including version control, secure storage, and timely updates.
- Compile, analyse, and report on safety performance data, including incident trends, audit findings, and compliance metrics.
- Prepare and distribute regular and ad hoc safety reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support safety audits, inspections, and investigations by ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
- Coordinate the distribution of safety communications, alerts, and bulletins across the site.
You will work closely with front line leaders to provide advice in all aspects of health and safety and encourage a proactive safety leadership culture at Moranbah North Mine.
Qualifications
- Existing experience in an administration or similar role, with comprehensive knowledge of the Coal Mining Industry and proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- You will have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting tasks in a timely manner.
- Your professional approach and high level of interpersonal communication skills will be instrumental in your success in this role.
- Experience in the use of SAP would be beneficial while not essential.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Safety (or a related discipline) desirable
- Previous Safety experience within mining operations (preferably Coal)
- Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
