The Company
· Versalux Lighting Systems is a Leading Australian Commercial and Industrial Lighting company. A proudly Australian owned business with its head office located in Melbourne and offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and New Zealand and has been established for over 45 years.
· We are seeking an Industrial Lighting Sales Engineer/ Sales Representative with a track record in lighting specification sales to join our South Australian sales team in Adelaide
· Reporting to the State Manager, the role involves the primary functions to promote, specify and sell lighting solutions to the electrical building services industry in accordance with the proposed sales budget.
Responsibilities and key accountabilities include:
· Lighting solution sales in accordance with the proposed annual targets.
· Promote lighting solutions to lighting users and specifiers
· In person relationship building and promotion of lighting solutions
· Presentation of product features and benefits and illumination problem solving.
· Presentation and education of lighting standards and lighting technologies through workshops
· Virtual promotion through email, video conference or other electronic means
· Promote and utilise in house design services
· Promote and assist in building specification luminaire schedules during design stage of lighting projects
· Present pipeline of design fortnightly at sales meetings, prepare sales report and submit sales expenditure
· Identify and develop new opportunities for lighting sales, compile lists of prospective client businesses
· Identify and develop new business through end user clients, assessing competitors’ goods and services, and market conditions
· Create and maintain relationships with electrical contractors and wholesalers, builders and developers, and build relationship with prospective clients
· Assist quoting teams to ensure projects are quoted within a reasonable timeframe
· Improve customer satisfaction by maintaining an acceptable response time to customer queries.
· Provide outstanding service to all customers, follow up to ensure highest degree of satisfaction and resolve any issues arising
· Be the interface towards the customer for all customer requests.
· Monitor customer’s changing needs, changes to competitor’s goods and services, report on changes to management and develop strategies to improve services
· Follow and continually improve procedures that maintain systems accuracy regarding sales
Your Qualifications and Experience
· Tertiary qualifications related to electrical engineering, architectural design engineering, lighting and/or other industrial products
· Deep understanding of lighting and other industrial products
· At least 12 months experience in a Sales role
