YMCA Victoria Early Learning Centres (ELC's) are safe, supportive spaces offering high quality early learning education and care for children aged six weeks to five years old. We have seventeen Centres across Victoria and one Centre in NSW.
About the Opportunity
School Readiness Funding (SRF) is a needs-based funding system for Victorian kindergartens that aims to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage on children’s learning and development.
The School Readiness Funding Coach will report to the School Readiness Funding Manager to support the implementation of a systematic approach to School Readiness Funding across the Y’s Early Learning Centres. In particular, you will focus on coaching and mentoring of centre-based staff to support practice uplift across all sites and improved learning outcomes for children enrolled in the Y’s funded kindergarten programs. Responsibilities include:
- Support identified services to develop and submit their SRF plan
- Track and monitor each centre’s engagement and completion of their SRF plan
- Delivering coaching and mentoring to each identified site in line with their SRF plan
This is a part time role, three days a week on a maximum term contract until December 2026. Officially based at Box Hill, we are flexible with the location as you’ll work across our Vic Centres and from home (WFH). The FTE Remuneration for this role is up to $109,000 plus super, dependent on experience. Three days will be pro rata the FTE salary.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have extensive knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework. You will also have experience in teaching and foundation knowledge of the SRF Priority Areas (Communication, Wellbeing, and Access, Inclusion and Participation). You should be able to demonstrate their working knowledge of the National Quality Framework with particular reference to national quality standards areas 1 and 5.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
- WWCC (Working With Children Check) Employee edition
- VIT registration (in addition to WWCC)
- Australian Children’s Foundation Online Safeguarding Children Certificate
