The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Your Responsibilities
As the Schools Officer, Grounds & Facilities - Kruger State School, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for a range of day-to-day activities that include maintenance of school ovals through regular mowing, watering, and soil maintenance; lawn and garden maintenance, including regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers where necessary; and planting, watering, and caring for trees, shrubs, and gardens.
Undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters, and tractors (as per manufacturers' service manuals), and arrange regular servicing.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements, including maintenance of a safe work environment and safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers, and fuel.
Assist with a range of duties that include coordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish as required (does not include emptying of bins in agreed eating areas), setting up for school activities and events, and moving school resources, furniture, and equipment.
Attend to, or arrange, repairs and maintenance within the school, including those related to fences, paving, gates, and irrigation.
Responsible for some administrative duties, such as physical receiving of goods, daily banking and postage, and maintaining an electronic jobs list.
