Role Overview:
The Seafood Deli Specialist is responsible for developing seafood capability within grocery store deli teams by providing training, coaching, and in-store support. The role ensures compliance with food safety and store standards, enhances customer engagement, and drives sales performance through improved product knowledge and merchandising execution.
What does your week look like?
Deliver hands on training to store managers, deli managers and deli teams on seafood species, merchandise standards, product handling, food safety, and customer service excellence.
Monitor and support adherence to Tassal and retailer standards, ensuring consistent execution of merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities.
Analyse sales data to identify performance opportunities and implement targeted initiatives to drive commercial outcomes.
Foster strong relationships with store managers and deli teams to influence positive results and encourage collaboration.
Utilise CRM and reporting tools to document store visits, track training outcomes, and highlight sales opportunities.
Travel to various sites across [insert region], with flexibility to operate across multiple locations throughout the week.

Key Competencies & Skills:
Strong retail or deli operations background, ideally within seafood or fresh categories.
Effective trainer and coach with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales trends and identify growth opportunities.
Professional, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM experience preferred.
