Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and Coopers Stadium, in addition to functions and events at The Drive.
The Role
A rare opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified individual to take on the role of Security Supervisor within our Security & Visitor Services team.
Reporting to the Security Manager, the position is responsible for providing a safe, secure and hospitable environment for visitors and staff; through the effective supervision of Security personnel on duty and the coordination of security-related systems and services throughout the Adelaide Convention Centre and its surrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration of major systems including Access Control (Gallagher), CCTV (IndigoVision), BMS, Fire and Car parks
- Emergency management, including First Aid on site and liaising with Emergency Services
- Management of incidents relating to Liquor Licensing and Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Staff supervision including staff performance reviews, rostering and ad hoc deployment of staff to meet operational needs.
- Actively contribute to the safe functioning and conduct of equipment and staff throughout AVM venues
Skills you will bring to the role:
- Experienced in a significant venue-based supervisory role
- A ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible proactive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of Liquor Licensing, Responsible Service of Alcohol and RP badge
- Excellent organisation, administrative, report writing and time management skills, including intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Be able to carry out the physical capabilities of the position.
