Job Description
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and professional team at Oaks R Suites Geelong as a Senior Food and Beverage Attendant on a full-time basis. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual with a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
In this role our café, open daily from 7:00am to 2:00pm with no on-site kitchen, our offering includes high-quality, pre-prepared food such as toasted focaccias, muffins, breakfast wraps, and barista-made coffee.
Day to day you will:
- Lead by example, ensuring friendly, professional service at all times.
- Support the daily operation of the café and uphold service standards.
- Have full knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and allergens.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new and junior team members.
- Promote the Minor Hotels loyalty program.
- Assemble and heat cabinet food items and prepare a variety of beverages.
- Accurately process customer orders using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean, well-organised service area and complete closing procedures.
- Replenish and rotate stock, record breakages, and ensure proper stock control.
- Polish and wrap cutlery, fold napkins, and maintain glassware.
- Clear tables and clean as you go to maintain presentation and hygiene.
- Handle payments and generate accurate receipts.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Hourly Rates (excluding super):
Monday - Friday: $25.80 per hour
Saturday: $32.25 per hour
Sunday: $38.70 per hour
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar café or food and beverage attendant role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Previous barista skills (highly regarded).
- Knowledge of food safety, allergen awareness, and basic stock control.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and working in a team-oriented environment.
