What you’ll deliver with us
Part of the application support team responsible for the management of defined applications by installing, configuring, upgrading, administering, monitoring, and maintaining the applications to keep them in a usable state, ensuring they are correct, consistent, and available at all required times. Delivery focus may include minor works, estimations, design, and systems development work to time, budget, and quality targets and by appropriate standards. Drive the technical investigation and participate in the troubleshooting process for incident/problem tickets. Resolves technical issues that may arise during the whole development lifecycle.
Strategy Execution and Customer
- Implements, configures and supports applications during the hours required by the business ensuring application availability, performance, reliability, maintainability, serviceability, and capacity are provided in line with agreed service level agreements.
- Provides application support resolving all incidents and requests in line with SLAs and undertaking problem management working closely with Service Management.
- Ensures all applications adhere to security policies and appropriate escalation processes are in place for all applications.
- Writing and reviewing of application code in Java during the development life cycle and deploy it into AWS/GCP
- Documents all applications and integration components for support purposes by required standards, methods, and procedures and adheres to any applicable configuration management procedures.
- Identifies key issues and risk elements and escalates promptly.
- Supports the planning and delivers patches, maintenance releases, and all major product enhancement releases to applications and integration components.
Provide primary after hours (24X7) support on roster basis 1 week/per 5 weeks
Industry and Function
- Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of appropriate development methodologies, documentation, tools, and any other environment-specific tools necessary to create, test and implement an application and control points as required for day-to-day support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts to others
- Drives technology collaboration, aligning decisions at the team level to the technical roadmap
- Experience with working in an ITIL environment
Market and Environment
- Technical expertise in supporting enterprise-level JAVA applications built for cloud (AWS/GCP) environment
- Experience with highly scalable systems, inclusive of frontend and backend tiers
Technical Qualifications
- ITIL certification preferred
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS/GCP is mandatory
- Hands on experience with CI/CD into AWS/GCP Platform
- Microsoft .Net experience is advantageous
- Monitoring tools such as Sumologic. Site 24/7 New Relic
- Working experience on Oracle and PostgreSQL database
- Experience working in Microservices and API Development
- Working experience in DevOps tools is preferred
