About the Role:
As a Servery Staff at Anglicare Sydney, Our kitchen and servery team plays a vital role in providing nourishing meals that contribute to the health and well-being of our residents.
About You:
  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
  • Alignment with Anglicare’s Christian ethos and values.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces.
  • Assist in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean.
  • Deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms.
  • Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents.
  • Collect, clean, and store dishes and utensils after meals
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards always
