About the project
DCOH has been engaged to deliver the proposed new Civic Centre project, a transformative $150 million development designed to reflect Darwin's cultural heritage and meet its growing needs.

Large Scale, PCA A Grade Project
The $150 million civic centre project offers significant opportunities for hands-on experience in delivering a 21 storey premium PCA A Grade commercial building right in the heart of the city.
Diverse and Multifaceted Scope
The project encompasses a variety of functional spaces, including customer services, council chambers, office areas, and a public plaza, alongside operational elements like carparking and building infrastructure.

With construction expected to create over 500 jobs and designs honouring Galamarrma, the Tree of Knowledge, this project aligns with principles of sustainable development and cultural respect.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a proactive and organised Service Engineer / Coordinator who ensures that services run smoothly throughout the design and construction phases. You work closely with project teams and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience coordinating service works. Experience in high-rise construction projects would be highly valued.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules and budgets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with subcontractors and internal teams
- Effective problem solver, focused on timely issue resolution
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and compliance requirements
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Service Coordinator, you will manage and coordinate service packages during the design and construction phases to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for all service coordination tasks
- Schedule and dispatch internal tradespeople and subcontractors according to project timelines
- Monitor and track service progress, resolving scheduling conflicts proactively
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, RFIs, compliance documents,
- Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors
- Monitor subcontractor performance and escalate issues when necessary
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, , and equipment
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and compliance requirements
- Prepare service progress, compliance, and defect reports
- Assist with commissioning, testing, defect rectification, and handover documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support junior team members
