We’re on the lookout for a driven Short-Term Planner to join our high-performing team in Gunnedah.
Your New Role
In this hands-on planning role, you’ll be the go-to for keeping our rental fleet running at peak performance. You’ll own the short-term maintenance planning of major component replacements—ensuring labour, parts, and services are lined up and ready to go. Working closely with site teams, you’ll balance breakdowns and forecasted tasks while making sure compliance stays on point.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and manage a rolling 2-week maintenance plan using AMT
Lead daily & weekly planning meetings with site teams using Power BI reports - Coordinate with Long-Term Planners to schedule component replacements
- Manage part orders, labour, tools, logistics—and minimise downtime
- Liaise with Execution Teams to assess breakdowns and determine repair scope
- Ensure compliance with all statutory maintenance requirements
- Track Condition Monitoring jobs and feed back results
- Keep budgets on track and raise red flags early for warranty issues
What You’ll Bring:
- Mechanical trade qualification (HME); planning/management degree a bonus
- Experience with CAT, Komatsu, or Hitachi earth-moving gear highly regarded
- Skilled in CMMS systems (AMT preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Strong planning, scheduling, and forecasting skills
- Organised, deadline-focused, and great with cross-team collaboration
- Available to work full-time Monday–Friday from our Gunnedah office
