Grade: Clerk 11/12
Salary Range: $149,739 - $173,174 + superannuation and leave loading
Term: Temporary until December 31st 2025

About the team
Specialist Harm Prevention Directorate provides technical leadership and delivers regulatory services to improve workplace health and safety in the specialised areas of asbestos & demolition, occupational health & environment, engineering, infrastructure & renewables and silica. Reporting to the Director of Specialist Harm Prevention, this role manages major priority initiatives and strategies for the SafeWork NSW Silica Program. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced program leader to help drive forward safety in NSW workplaces. You will be working with a variety of teams including technical specialist, operations, WHS policy and shared services to deliver positive workplace safety outcomes in NSW.
Your responsibilities will include:
- High level stakeholder relationships, including with other government and non-government agencies
- Coordinate the SafeWork NSW (SWNSW) Silica Program delivery
- Contribution to the SWNSW Regulatory Priority “Exposure to Hazardous Substances” as outlined in the SWNSW Annual Regulatory Statement and aligns to the SWNSW Strategic Plan 2024-2029
- Establish systems and provide oversight for any parliamentary response such as Budget estimates, House Folder Notes, Ministerial/media correspondence and reporting
- Work with SWNSW and other agency teams to drive the operational and awareness activities
- In conjunction with technical specialists, provide SWNSW representation for any National or interjurisdictional committees.
