Job summary and project:
Martinus are seeking an applications from Local Rail Labourers. Applicants that hold HR licence or Roller licence are encouraged to apply.
Required experience for Skilled Rail Labourers:
- General labouring works
- General Track work
- Track construction
- Railway formation levels
- Culvert installation
- Pre-Rail/Track laying
Successful candidates will have the following competencies:
- White card
- RIW card (Rail industry worker)
- SARC TLIF0020
- CAT1-3 rail medical
- National statement of attainment for relevant machine
- Current VOC (Verification of competency) completed within 2 years of start date
About Inland Rail Albury to Parkes
The Inland Rail Program is a 1700km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.
Works in the Albury to Illabo and Stockinbingal to Parkes sections involve extensive enhancements to specific sites across the 355km of existing track running from Albury to Parkes. These enhancements will provide the necessary vertical and horizontal clearance along the existing 'Main South Line' corridor to support the safe running of double-stacked freight trains up to 1,800m long and 6.5m high.
