Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary social work theories to practice, and an ability to apply these to acute contexts during evening, weekend and public holiday presentations within a tertiary hospital setting.
Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate the social work role and to work cooperatively and effectively in a multidisciplinary health setting.
Clinical Ability: Demonstrated ability to independently manage a social work caseload, using appropriate interventions that respond to child and family psychosocial needs in the context of crisis, trauma, grief, chronic illness and disability, hospitalisation, domestic and family violence and child protection.
Leadership: An ability to incorporate quality improvement activities and / or research into clinical practice and develop skills in staff and student supervision.
