About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Supervisor to support the day-to-day recycling and logistics operations of the Maroochydore Family Store. In this role, you’ll contribute to the store’s overall performance by ensuring it remains well-stocked and operational, helping generate essential income to support the mission of The Salvation Army and its community programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily receipt and processing of donations, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service
- Assist in maintaining visual merchandising and ensure items are presented in a clean and orderly manner
- Work alongside the Store Manager and Warehouse Manager to implement strategies that improve sales and enhance back-of-house efficiency
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to manage stock levels and oversee the movement of donations
- Provide hands-on guidance to team members, including training on product handling and pricing
- Identify and report staff issues to the Store Manager, ensuring they are addressed in a timely and supportive manner according to TSA policies
What You Will Bring
- A current and valid driver’s licence
- Experience in retail and/or customer service (desirable)
- Physical capability for manual handling and safe work practices
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially in mentoring and supporting volunteers
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety obligations
- A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
