The opportunity

The Australian Sustainment Services Contract (ASSC) is seeking a Spares Inventory Specialistto support the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A platform.

The Supply Support Team integrates with the broader program working closely with Project Managers, Asset Managers, Technical Assessors and Engineers to provide life-cycle management of the Australian C-17A platform. The successful candidate will possess a high level of customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to work within a diverse organisation.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley.

As well as supporting and working within our team you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and build your professional network as you connect with stakeholders across the Boeing company and the C-17A enterprise.

As a Spares Inventory Specialist you will:

Deliver commercial and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) benefits to the customer through effective supply chain methodologies

  • Defence Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) knowledge or similar, skills & experience for the Management of Purchasing, Requisition, and Dispatch of Spare

  • Analyse and monitor supply chain quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks and opportunities
  • .
  • Coordinate stakeholders across industry to deliver on supply chain strategies
  • .
  • Develop mitigation plans, identify and participate in supplier and business improvement activities
  • .
  • Manage and monitor Accounts, program stocktaking and assurance programs
  • .
  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies
  • .

To be considered for the role you will have:

Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Fundamental

  • Experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) highly desirabl

  • Understanding of airworthiness standard

  • Demonstrate experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project leve

  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and engagement with all levels of managemen

  • Ability to work successfully unsupervised and in a team environment

  • Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
  • .
  • High level communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams, repair agencies and key internal and external stakeholder
