We are currently recruiting for a “Specialist Health& Safety Exploration, Systems& Support”who will report directly into the Director Health& Safety.TheSpecialist Health& Safety Exploration, Systems& Support willprovide Health and Safety support to the exploration function including the development of standards, procedures, performance requirements and improvement solutions. This role can be based out of any of our hubs across Australia, Perth, Melbourne or Brisbane.
A day in the life may include:
- Provide central aligned global support for Enterprise and Exploration Health and Safety Programs to the Exploration Function including all Projects and Sites.
- Coordinate, monitor and report on the execution of H key objectives cross the Global Exploration Function and at each Project including Project Leadership Teams and Business Partners
- Lead the development and communications of Exploration specific Risk Based H Procedures including change management and document control.
- Coordinate and support the Health and Safety Training for Enterprise and Exploration Health and Safety Programs to the Exploration Function including all Projects and Sites.
- Support SPE Investigations by providing guidance and quality assurance process to ensure consistent and quality outcomes.
- Coordinate H governance activities including action management.
- Support all H Systems including Enablon, Forwood, Site Docs and other supporting systems.
- Identify, formulate and execute HS improvement opportunities across the Exploration Projects portfolio
- Monitor and assess implications of proposed legislative changes to the business and ensure they are reflected in HS strategy development
- Responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to Projects while ensuring behaviours, standards and frameworks are formulated, maintained and aligned to Newmont’s culture and values
Your past experience will include project management, change management, H investigations and you will be well versed in H systems standards and processes, relevant regulations and compliance requirements and risk management processes. You will hold a Degree in Occupational H, Science or a related industry recognised qualification. Your problem solving and curious mindset will set you apart whilst you solve problems, complete tasks without hands on feedback and extrapolate patterns to make predictions.
