The Specialist: Materials & Services provides direct output support to the Superintendent: Materials & Services, through establishment and maintenance of effective materials and service master data in support of the Regional Supply Chain.
Accountabilities
- Establish and sustain robust material and service master data structures
- Perform master data cleansing and eliminate duplicates to ensure data integrity
- Capture new master data field requirements and ensure alignment with coding standards
- Support additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the Superintendent – Materials & Services
- Investigate and resolve SAP data quality issues, including root cause analysis and correction
- Identify and implement opportunities for common supply across operational assets
About you

To be considered, you will demonstrate a strong work ethic with a willingness to uphold the AngloGold Ashanti Values. Along with these expectations the ideal candidate would ideally possess:
- Proficient in using Master Data Record Management (MDRM) tools for accurate coding and data integrity
- Proven ability in verifying data and interpreting mining plant spare parts
- Prior experience in creating material and service master records, ideally within the mining industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to liaise effectively across teams
- Relevant technical expertise in the classification and coding of technical master data
- Demonstrated experience working with SAP
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and material management frameworks
- Intermediate Excel skills for data management and analysis
- Familiarity with Repairable/Rotable processes and component lifecycle management
