Purpose of the Role
BGIS is looking for a collaborative and experienced State Manager to support the delivery of facilities and asset management services across a portfolio of 11 hospitals throughout NSW and ACT. In this people-focused leadership role, you’ll work closely with General Managers, site teams, and internal stakeholders to promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the National Account Director, you'll lead a supportive team environment while ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining trusted relationships across all sites.
This position is well suited to a values-driven professional who enjoys coaching others, building partnerships, and contributing to impactful work in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a positive team culture that values respect, accountability, and continuous development
- Support day-to-day service delivery across multiple hospital sites in NSW and ACT
- Maintain compliance, risk registers, and operational continuity plans
- Lead team performance to achieve service targets and contractual outcomes
- Collaborate with both client stakeholders and internal departments
- Travel across the region to maintain a strong on-the-ground presence and understanding of each site
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Experience in Facilities or Asset Management (5+ years)
- Background in team supervision or leadership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong administrative capabilities, with confidence using ERP systems (e.g., Manhattan, BSAFE)
Desirable:
- Trade background (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry)
- Experience in healthcare environments
- Familiarity with multi-site service delivery
Workplace Flexibility
This role is based at our Sydney World Square office with regular travel to hospital sites across NSW and ACT. A hybrid work arrangement is available depending on operational needs.
