About North Western Program Alliance

 

North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance Partners - John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals. 

 

Since 2017, NWPA had had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removals (17 LX) and several premium stations, with three projects currently in delivery and two in development phase.

We are looking for a Stations Supervisor to join us. 

 

Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do

 

As the Stations Supervisor your main responsibility will be to on site teams to deliver relevant scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications to achieve effective performance in accordance with detailed short term programs and schedules within the designated time and budget, implement site safety, quality and environment control and identify and assess potential risks. 


•    Coordinate teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
•    Lead health, safety, and environment management initiatives.
•    Develop work methods, short-term construction programs, and daily/weekly production plans.
•    Foster strong stakeholder relationships through proactive and professional communication.
•    Complete progress and shift handover reporting, ensuring regular updates to the Superintendent/Project Manager.
•    Manage commercial and financial aspects, including budgets and authority-limited decisions.
•    Review design documentation, drawings, and implement final designs.
•    Oversee contractual mechanisms for subcontractors.
•    Identify, mitigate, and manage risks, fostering a strong risk management culture.
•    Train and develop leading hands, promoting safety, standards, and fair industrial practices.
•    Consult with workers’ representatives on industrial and safety matters, escalating major issues as needed.
•    Adhere to John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures.

To be successful in this key role, we are looking for;

 

•    Hold a relevant Trade Qualification or similar. 
•    Possess qualifications and training such as Diploma in Building/Construction or Project Management, Year 12 equivalent, and Builders Registration (if appliable).
•    Demonstrated construction experience in a similar role with substantial industry experience in trade and construction. 
•    Demonstrate technical competency and strong understanding of the area being supervised. 
•    Be skilled in reviewing design documents, understanding drawings, providing constructability reviews, and implementing final design plans. 
•    Have experience as a Leading Hand with proven ability in managing people and performance, including subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
